CIMT 509 - Summer 1 2009
Selection of Library Materials is a 3-hour credit course focusing on the evaluation and selection of print and non-print materials for school and public libraries. Emphasis is given to understanding the importance of collection development policies and procedures, as well as an awareness of national issues with regard to censorship and minors’ access to some forms of information. Coursework for CIMT 59 includes the midterm and final exams, and a proficiency project, found below the course syllabus.
